«As a youth I had tried marijuana. I believed the propaganda being actively promoted at that time. It stated drugs would help you find a secret inner spot, enabling you to create these amazing notes, sounds and songs, that people would love you for. So for a brief time in my life, I tried drugs, and of course it lead to a dead end. I knew any kind of drugs that affected the mind or decision making or perceptions, would have a long term lasting bad effect. I did a lot of things to try and reduce those effects, but had never fully removed them until the Purification Rundown. For me it was a way to fully relieve the bad effects from drugs.

I know this because when I was finished with the program, I felt as clean as I had before I had done any drugs at all. I was very perceptive, things were clear and my vision was better.

As creative as an artist can be in composing a song or sculpting a statue or painting a picture or writing a poem or a novel, you can be just as creative on how to rise above thousands of others who are doing the same thing that you are doing. Some may do it better, some not as good, but it’s good to know how to rise above that and get your work noticed and get your work communicated to more people. There is a whole process there that you can apply your creativity to as well. It’s great to write an amazing story but if it never leaves the drawer, what good is it? It’s important to write a song that affects people so dearly. But if only a handful of people ever hear it, it’s kind of sad that it’s wasted. The Purification Rundown can eliminate the blocks on creativity caused by drugs and toxins.»

Persia is a singer/musician! songwriter/Pro Tools engineer in her band «XEO3.» Recently she collaborated musically with recording artist Tricky of Massive Attack, and she has also worked with Gary Wallis of Pink Floyd, Dominique Miller and Jane Wiedlin of The Go Gos. She has written and recorded soundtrack music for three independent films as well as television. Persia also wrote the season finale song for Girlfiiends’ 6th season.

When offstage, Persia devotes a great deal of time to animal and environmental welfare. She is a board member of the Humane Society of the United States, as well as the Sea Shepherd

Conservation Society. For her efforts as an activist, she was recently honored by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), as a 2005 Humanitarian of the Year and received the «Friends not Food» award from Farm Sanctuary.

Persia helped produce an awardwinning documentary entitled Earthlings (www.isawearthlings. com), narrated byjoaquin Phoenix and directed by Shaun Monson. Earthlings has been hailed as the most comprehensive documentary ever produced on the interrelatedness of humankind, nature, animals and economics. We will be screeningEarthlings at Celebrity Centre.

Persia is also a member of the Earth Organization (www. earthorganization.com). Formed by a group of Scientologists who want to help spread awareness about animal and environmental issues, the Earth Organization works to help bring balance to the fifth and sixth dynamics.

This month, Persia White talks to Celebrity Magazine about a service that helps her achieve her goals the Purification Rundown.



What were some of the specific aspects of the Purification Rundown that attracted you?

I realized that most of my artistic heroes died from drugs: Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday and the list goes on I decided to do all I can to help artists, including myself, to get clean and/or stay clean. I also noticed how drugs often lead to crime and violence, yet society pushes drugs as the quick fix for the slightest problem.

It became clear that drugs are the cause of much unnecessary pain and suffering in the world.

A cool thing about the Purification Rundown is that it can benefit anyone it’s not just for people who have taken overthecounter or illegal drugs. After all, toxins are everywhere. They are in our food, air and water.

I’m a pretty healthy person. I’m a Vegan, that is to say I don’t eat meat, chicken, fish, dairy or any animal products for that matter. And yes, I try to eat organic as often as possible. Spiritual and physical health are important to me, so when I learned about the effects of past toxins on the body and mind, I wanted to get that stuff out of my system.


What did you get out of the Purification Rundown?

After I finished the program, the cloud was lifted and things became clear visually and mentally. I felt a sense of lightness and increased energy. I didn’t realize that many problems, including feeling tired and sluggish, were related to the toxins in my system. I had a newfound energy and excitement about life and art. This reflected in my work and my family life. People would always walk up to me and say, «What did you change about yourself?» «You look great!» «Did you lose weight?» It was great!

After doing the Purification Rundown, my ability to think clearly greatly increased. I would remember phone numbers after hearing them one time. My ability to memorize dialogue, which was already good, increased even more I didn’t think it could increase any more.

My mental fog was lifted. My sense of perception got better, I could smell and taste things like never before. The best part is that years after having done the Purification Rundown, I still have this increased ability.

My ability to deal with stress also got better. I think when you see life without all the mental haze in the way, you don’t overreact to negative situations. I felt like I was me again. I was and am full of energy and I never have that fuzzyhead feeling. It’s fabulous.


Who would you recommend do the Purification Rundown?

I recommend the Purification Rundown to anyone who can do it. Because everyone can benefit from it. If you want to feel better and do better in life, the Purification Rundown is a great first step. If you’re an artist, its important to have your mind and body free and clear of the mental haze that often clouds us, and in many cases kills us.

However, you don’t need to be a person who has taken drugs to benefit from it. We live in a world that’s constantly flooding us with toxins from household cleaners to radiation from the sun and even nuclear waste in the soil.

We’re all here on this planet and we all receive unhealthy amounts of toxins on a daily basis. Remember, toxins are poisons. It only makes sense to get them out of your system.

You bring up an important point, which is that we do live in a biochemical environment and are surrounded by toxins.

On that subject, its important to remind people that toxins are abundant in food and household products, especially in America. Today’s factory farming practices are unethical and dangerous. Most Americans don’t know that many of the chemicals fed to cows, chickens and pigs bred forfood in the United States are illegal in Europe, due to evidence that has linked them to cancer or other problems. Did you know that in 2004, leading scientists from the European Union banned more than 1,100 ingredients in widespread use in cosmetic, body care and cleaning products which were known or suspected of causing cancer, birth defects or fertility problems? By comparison, the Food and Drug Administration in the United States has only banned nine.

It makes sense to buy organic and refrain from eating animal products, but many people avoid confronting these subjects.

The hormones, pesticides, steroids and antibiotics given to factory farm animals goes into the meat and then into your body. This toxic meat is also the result of unethical treatment and living conditions. The number one cause of water pollution in the world is factory farms primarily runoff from pig factory farms.

I also want to say that as Scientologists, its important that we have our ethics in on all of the dynamics including the fifth and sixth. Our treatment of animals is unethical and causing catastrophic global repercussions. Look at our treatment of the planet and environment. I bring this up to call attention to an area that is not confronted enough.

It comes down to The Way to Happiness, precept «Safeguard and Improve Your Environment,» where L. Ron Hubbard says, «There are many things people can do to help take care of the planet. They begin with the idea that one should. They progress by suggesting to others that they should. Man has reached the potential capacity to destroy the planet. He must be pushed on up to the capability and actions of saving it. It is, after all, what were
standing on.»

But for now, we live in a toxic environment. Whether you have taken drugs or not, you have been and you will be exposed to toxins simply by breathing the air, drinking the water and eating the food. The Purification Rundown handles that. Its for everybody...

Nous vivons une époque ou le taux de pollution dépasse de loin tout ce qui était envisageable. Pesticides, insecticides, gaz d'échappement, molécules chimiques toxiques dans les produits de consommation courante, pollution de l'eau, de l'air, le tableau dressé aujourd'hui par les scientifiques du monde entier pourrait faire perdre tout espoir quant à l'existence d'une solution qui non seulement prenne en compte la sauvegarde de notre planète, mais aussi la possibilité pour l'homme de survivre à un environnement si pollué.

A titre d'exemple, une étude récente réalisée en Corée auprès de 8000 enfants a montré qu'un enfant sur trois développait aujourd'hui des allergies ou de l'asthme directement liés à la pollution.

En France, on recense 3000 décès par an dus à la pollution seule. Des substances comme le cadmium, résidu de déchets industriels que l'on retrouve dans l'eau et les végétaux sont aujourd'hui reconnues pour ce qu'elles sont : des responsables directes du cancer du sein.

Le dioxide d'azote dégagé par les gaz d'échappement et l'ozone dont le taux a grandement augmenté ces derniers temps dans l'air des villes mais aussi celui des campagnes créent des dégats dévastateurs sur les muqueuses oculaires et respiratoires.

On sait aujourd'hui que les pesticides qui sont utilisés à outrance dans nos cultures sont des perturbateurs endocriniens de premier ordre.

Des substances comme le 4-n-nonylphénol, que l'on trouve dans les détergents, mais aussi dans les plastiques, dans les boitiers de CD et de DVD et dans la confection de biberons, sont responsables de malformations génitales pouvant mener à la stérilité.

Et ce ne sont que quelques exemples quand on sait qu'une étude de l'ANRS (Agence Nationale pour la Recherche Scientifique) a recensé 150 produits cancérigènes sur 400 produits chimiques du marché examinés.

Aujourd'hui, sur plus de 100 000 produits chimiques présents sur le marché européen, seuls 3000 ont été évalués.

Une autre étude, rendue publique le 25 octobre 2005, menée par l'université d'Ottawa et l'hôpital pour enfants de Cincinnati, a conclu qu'il n'existait pas de seuil minimum de sécurité (ce qui signifie que même des traces peuvent être toxiques) pour des polluants comme le plomb, présent dans l'air, les sols ou l'eau du robinet, ou encore les sous-produits du chlore utilisé pour désinfecter cette même eau.

Au-delà de cet aspect inquiétant pour la santé physique des générations présentes et futures, Ron Hubbard a étudié l'effet de l'ensemble de ces substances sur le dynamisme mental des individus.

La pollution, les substances toxiques de notre environnement et de notre nourriture se logent dans les tissus adipeux de notre corps qui semble ne pas être conçu pour pouvoir s'en débarrasser complètement. L'effet de ces substances sur le mental a été mis en évidence. Comme les drogues et les substances chimiques médicamenteuses, les substances toxiques polluantes ont un effet négatif sur les facultés mentales des individus.

A moins de vivre dans un environnement clos et coupé du reste du monde il n'y a aucun moyen d'éviter l'exposition à ces influences toxiques. Elles fixent une personne dans des émotions négatives et l'empêchent d'aller de l'avant, de créer son futur avec enthousiasme.

Outre la nécessité d'une prise de responsabilité partagée quant aux effets à terme de la pollution sur terre, il fallait aussi trouver une solution pour l'individu.

Le programme de Purification répond à ce besoin en permettant à la personne de retrouver sa joie de vivre et se libérer de l'influence des produits toxiques qui inhibent ses aptitudes, sa vitalité, ses perceptions et sa capacité à penser clairement.

Au cours des années 50, alors que Lafayette Ronald Hubbard faisait face à la demande spectaculaire que son livre « la Dianétique » avait déclenché, multipliant les conférences et les stages de formation aux techniques de développement personnel de Dianétique, il fut confronté à un problème nouveau : de nombreuses personnes ne progressaient plus avec facilité comme aux débuts de la Dianétique.

C'était l'époque des essais nucléaires aux Etats-unis et le dénominateur commun des individus qui se heurtaient à des difficultés pour bénéficier de la thérapie de Dianétique était une exposition aux radiations lors des différents essais.

C'est alors qu'il travailla à un programme destiné à débarrasser l'organisme des effets néfastes des radiations, et ce fut la découverte des résultats étonnants obtenus avec la vitamine pp (Niacine), nutriment (élément nutritif) aux vertus jamais encore exploitées.

A la fin des années 60 les drogues avaient déferlé sur l'Amérique et au-delà. De nombreuses personnes n'étaient plus aptes à progresser spirituellement de manière probante à cause des effets dévastateurs que les drogues avaient eu sur leur mental.

M. Hubbard découvrit que les résidus de drogues restaient dans le corps bien longtemps après leur absorption (des dizaines d'années, voire à vie pour certains d'entre eux), causant des effets mentaux aussi divers que néfastes. Cette percée le poussa à développer les recherches qu'il avait entreprises des années auparavant.

Il en vint à élaborer un programme efficace pour débarrasser l'organisme des résidus de drogues qu'il contenait, libérant ainsi l'esprit humain des dégats causés par la présence permanente de ces poisons que sont les drogues illégales ou légales (antidépresseurs, anxiolitiques, opiacés, etc.).

Au cours de ses recherches il découvrit l'effet que la pollution avait sur le dynamisme des gens : l'effet des conservateurs alimentaires, des pesticides, des parfums synthétiques, et de nombreux autres produits chimiques toxiques.

En fait, les résidus de ces produits toxiques (comme ce fut confirmé par de nombreuses études scientifiques depuis lors) restent fixés dans le corps et agissent comme des inhibiteurs d'émotion et d'énergie vitale et mentale. C'est pourquoi même les personnes n'ayant jamais pris de drogue dans leur vie bénéficiaient du programme qu'il appela le « programme de Purification ». Elles se rendaient compte que celui-ci leur avait redonné une vitalité qu'elles avaient perdue au fil du temps, et que lorsque l'organisme était débarrassé de ces résidus toxiques, leurs aptitudes mentales et émotionnelles retrouvaient tout leur éclat.

Aujourd'hui, plus de 50 ans après les premières recherches, plusieurs milliers de personnes ont suivi le programme de Purification avec succès.
